Tremblant School Ski Trips
A Fairytale Backdrop
The Resort:
As the leading resort in Eastern Canada, Tremblant’s reputation is exceptional. It is located in the Laurentian mountains, about 80 miles North of Montreal. The village was purpose-built to serve the mountain’s slopes and is made up of bright and vibrant buildings that give the resort a colourful uniqueness.
Skiing in Tremblant:
The resort is separated into 4 sections, including the North side which has the best conditions due to its sheltered position, whilst the South side has a wide range of runs for beginners through to advanced skiers, which overlook the beautiful scenery of the colourful village and breath-taking lake. Large portions of the mountainside are forested so treeline runs are also common. There is a 2-acre beginner zone equipped with magic carpet surface lifts and progression routes out onto the mountain from here. In fact, the longest run on the mountain, a green piste, goes all the way from the summit to the beginner zone. There are also multiple black diamond runs that can test the more confident skiers. Snowboarders will enjoy the 30-acre adrenaline park and half pipe as well as 2 other freestyle parks with panoramic views of the surrounding peaks. Excellent piste grooming occurs here with over 1000 snow guns + snowmaking infrastructure that covers over 75% of the ski area so that all slopes at the resort are of the highest quality at the resort. Additionally, good powder skiing is often available as fresh falls are common and some pistes are left ungroomed.
For schools Because:
With a range of easy green runs from the summit beginners can thrive here, especially with help from the Tremblant snow school and the handy equipment rentals that are also available. On top of this, the fast gondolas and quad chairlifts make for limited queues, maximising skiing time. Off the slopes, the cobbled, traffic-free streets are an ideal safety benefit for large school groups.
Après ski:
Activities off the ski slopes are numerous at Tremblant with horse-drawn sleigh rides, ice skating, tubing, ice climbing lessons, and dogsledding all available. There is also a cinema in the resort for a warm cosy night in. Lots of dining options are available, including the restaurant C’est la vie where meat and fish are cooked on hot stones.
