St Johann in Tirol is an ideal destination for school ski trips, offering safe, confidence‑building skiing on wide blue and red runs in a friendly alpine setting. With excellent ski schools and a range of supervised off‑slope activities, it’s perfect for helping students learn, progress, and enjoy a fun, well‑balanced ski experience.

The majority of the resort’s slopes are north and west facing allowing them to hold snow well. This means the range of red and blue runs are well prepared and are perfect for beginners and intermediates. Running down to the village these blue and red slopes are around 4/5km long helping skiers build up confidence as they continue down them.
When staying in St Johann in Tirol, groups also benefit from ski pass access to the nearby Steinplatte ski area, adding extra variety to their skiing experience. Steinplatte is well known for its wide, open pistes, excellent snow reliability, and gentle terrain that suits beginners and improving skiers, making it a great extension for school groups looking to progress with confidence while enjoying a change of scenery during the week.
