Prato Nevoso School Ski Trips
Excellent Choice for Beginners
The Resort:
Prato Nevoso is located on the Northwestern slopes of the alps in the Mondole ski area, combining the charm of a small town and the efficiency and quality of an established ski destination. The town and slopes link to Artesina and Frabosa Soprana to create access to 130km of wide-ranging pistes from gentle nursery slopes to challenging black runs. As the home of the Italian Snowboard Club, it’s an opportunity for snowboarders to use the quality facilities, or for others to try snowboarding for the first time. Popular with beginner skiers the resort is an excellent choice for school groups of mixed abilities and confidence.
Skiing in Prato Nevoso:
The climatic conditions are perfect here, with North West facing slopes and nighttime flurries of snow. It has good snow coverage even in mild weather, and 95% of the runs are covered by snow cannons, minimising the lack of skiing to almost none. The natural snowfall combines with the warm air and sunshine to create a lovely climate that isn’t too cold. In recent years the resort has invested in its lift system and snowmaking facilities as well as reshaping its pistes, bringing the quality of the resort up to an even higher standard. The runs are varied including lengthy blue and red runs as well as long black routes.
For Schools Because:
The resort is a quiet but warm and welcoming place with a safe feel to it, making it a comfortable place to take large groups and students. There are 5 ski schools to choose from known for being friendly and high quality.
Après Ski:
The fantastic Snowpark that contains a half pipe, rails, and multiple jumps provides a fantastic opportunity to take a break from skiing and try new activities. Night-time skiing is also available with floodlights covering two slopes to create memories of floodlit tree-lined runs. Pizza nights, ice skating, and bowling are also on the list of activities that will ensure you enjoy all your time at the resort, not just your time on the slopes.
