Inspireski Reps: An inside look

Inspireski Reps: An inside look

Every inspireski trip has at least one dedicated rep to help ensure your tour is as enjoyable and entertaining as possible. Our specially trained reps are incredibly passionate about skiing and are there for the duration of your trip. Recently a member of our marketing team, Angus, travelled with a trip to Austria to find out what makes our reps so valuable and important to running your next tour:

Where did you travel this Easter?

“I travelled with Forest School to Saalbach in Austria for a week’s trip this Easter. We flew out to Munich and had a brilliant week in the sun with good snow conditions. It was my first experience of seeing a rep in action.”

What do you think are the most valuable times to have a rep?

“Inevitably, with a trip of 90 students and 10 teachers there are going to be times when decisions need to be made on the fly. On a couple of occasions on the trip the timings of our coaches, ski school and meals needed changing by 5-10 minutes and it was incredible to see the rep adjust these minor details out so quickly. Having someone with such good knowledge of ski resorts meant that these got solved quickly with a minimum of fuss. The students didn’t even know the plan had changed!”

“Having a direct link with inspireski in destination meant that anything the party leader wanted to change within short notice got sorted. A booking at a pizza restaurant was made in the local village, a trip to the highest point of the glacier in the resort was arranged. I think it’s these extra changes to the itinerary that make inspireski tours so special.”

How did you find the experience of shadowing a rep?

“The relationship between the rep and party leader, and the teachers in general, is so important to getting the most out of a ski tour. In Austria, we had a great channel of communication with ground handlers in the country to enable the trip to run smoothly. I believe that it is so vital to have a rep on the tour as it enables the party leader and the teachers to fully concentrate on the student’s experience!

“Without a inspireski rep, the party leader would have been far busier with ironing out small issues that arose. It was great to be able to see the progress that the kids made on the slopes, some of them went from never skiing before to skiing reds in just the one week! It really opened my eyes to what effect the tours can have on kids. All in it was a great week with a fantastic school.”
