Skiwelt is an absolute joy to behold. ‘Pretty’ isn’t the word, and you’ll find it hard to find words to describe the beauty of the villages and epicness of the landscapes. The views are truly amazing, but to add on to that wow-factor, some of the mountain restaurants have rotating terraces just so you won’t miss the most famous peaks of the Wilder Kaiser Mountains. Best to take a look at our video!!

SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser – Brixental is recognised as the largest ski area in Austria, and with its diverse range of pistes, it is the perfect destination for school groups and one of the reasons schools come back year after year.  You can ski the area several years running and still find new fun slopes you missed last time.

As you would expect from Austria, there is a focus on having as much fun as you can whilst also learning to ski across their abundance of easy slopes for beginners, some racecourses often used by the ski schools with timing facilities, floodlit pistes for night skiing as well as three fun-parks for freestylers, a ski movie route and chill-out areas with free Wi-Fi. Moreover, with some gorgeous mountain huts, Witch visits(!) and an Igloo Ice Village with an igloo hotel, ice restaurant and bar and an ice chapel enhance makes this ski region a very interesting proposition.

Our hotels are an easy shuttle to the slopes at Hopfgarten, where we have excellent relationship with the local ski school who have their own nursery slopes adjacent to our ski rental partners (Intersport). Hopfgarten is also an excellent starting point for more advanced skiers, as the Salvenbahn lift links into the whole of the SkiWelt network. An added bonus for teachers is the free Wi-Fi on the slopes, meaning you can give parents live updates of the pupils skiing progress. Off the slopes, the Skiwelt is a tobogganing mecca with an impressive 14 runs, 3 of which are floodlit and groomed daily, with 1 running until 3am! There are many villages to explore and plenty of evening activity options.
